COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The National Infantry Museum hosted the Infantry Ball on Friday, honoring 250 years of service and sacrifice.
Soldiers, veterans and supporters gathered for an evening of fellowship sponsored by the National Infantry Association.
“It’s a phenomenal opportunity to really tell about the history of the infantry and have a fun evening,” said Col. (Ret) Robert Choppa, president of the National Infantry Association.
BG (Ret) Larry Burris, CEO of the National Infantry Association, said the event offers more than celebration.
“It’s good to get back to this and show young folks that you can have a good time outside of work in the Army even with your comrades and your friends,” Burris said.
