COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The 13th Annual Columbus Georgia LGBTQ Pride Festival brought live music, drag performances and a Pulse Memorial Tribute to Woodruff Riverfront Park on Friday night.
The free celebration, presented by Colgay Pride, featured this year’s theme “No One Erased, No One Alone.” The event included a tribute honoring lives lost in the Pulse nightclub shooting.
“This is about a statement. This is about us coming out and saying that we’re not going to be ignored. We’re not going to be erased. And we’re going to live up to the Constitution of this great country,” an attendee said.
The festival continues Saturday with speakers and advocates, the Pride Parade, live entertainment, food trucks, vendors and family-friendly activities.
