COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Miss Georgia contestants sang the national anthem at the Columbus Clingstones game Thursday night, kicking off Crown the Peach Night.

Miss Georgia’s Teen 2025 Reagan Moore threw out one of four ceremonial first pitches before the game.

The event marked the beginning of competition week for the Miss Georgia Scholarship Organization. Contestants arrived in Columbus Thursday and will move into rehearsals and interviews over the next few days at the River Center for the Performing Arts, said Executive Director Trina Lynn Pruitt.

“Competition begins June the 17th through the 19th, which are the preliminary competitions for the Miss Georgia contestants and the Miss Georgia Teen contestants,” Pruitt said.

Columbus United’s Chase Jackson also threw out a first pitch as the soccer team was invited for the Clingstones’ Soccer Night.
