Runoff elections set for June 16 in Georgia and Alabama Early voting underway in Columbus for three undecided races

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Voters in Georgia and Alabama will return to the polls June 16 for runoff elections, with early voting already underway in Georgia.

Columbus voters can cast early ballots through Friday at the City Services Center from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. All 25 precincts will be open the same hours on Election Day June 16.

Three races remain undecided in Columbus. The mayor’s race features Joanne Cogle and Isaiah Hugley. In City Council District Seven, Laketha Ashe faces Rebecca Zajac. John Anker and Cathy Cook are competing for the District Nine at Large seat.

Radio Co-op Taxi and Four Heaven’s Sake Taxi Services are offering free rides to the polls during early voting and on Election Day. Voters can schedule a ride in advance or call the day of at 706-322-0700.
