COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Uptown’s Friday Night Concert Series is back, offering free date nights, family nights and entertainment every Friday in April.
Aflac presents Uptown’s Friday Night Concert Series Powered by St. Francis runs every Friday night in April. Broadway comes alive with brass, rock, country, soul and R&B, plus food and entertainment. The concerts are free and open to the public.
Friday’s concert was performed by Fort Benning’s Maneuver Center of Excellence Band.
Stephen Morse, president and CEO of Uptown Columbus, said the event is important for the community.
“It’s something the our community looks forward to every year in Uptown Columbus. It’s a free concert that we brings folks out in the community to come down and enjoy with family and friends and enjoy of course we’re fortunate the weather is beautiful tonight so we’re very happy to have the concert series back,” Morse said. “We’ll run it for April and then we’ll extend it over to May over at Highside Market.”
The next concert is April 10 featuring the band Boot Scootin’ Boogie Nights.
