American Heart Association donates 700 CPR kits to Columbus hospital The American Heart Association is playing its part to help new parents in the Columbus community.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - St. Francis Emory Healthcare received a huge donation to help save lives.

The American Heart Association gave 700 infant CPR kits to the hospital’s labor and delivery department on Tuesday morning.

The kits allow training for new parents and family members to administer CPR to a newborn in case of an emergency.

The cost of the donation is about $23,000.
