AUBURN, Ala. (WTVM) - ESPN College Gameday kicked off its 21st season at Neville Arena in Auburn as the Auburn Tigers prepared to take on the Tennessee Volunteers!
ESPN College Gameday only comes out for the very best. The #1 ranked Auburn Tigers hosted a top 10 match up for the first time in Neville Arena and of course the students were excited.
“It’s actually amazing to have college game. they here it shows a lot about the Auburn basketball team, but also the Auburn family being a part of Auburn family has been such a blessing and being able to witness that it’s a super cool opportunity,” said Emma-Grace.
One Auburn student says he was in line by 5 a.m.
“Well, it was cold and crowded but we were a very passionate fan so lot of energy in the air. Everybody was excited there’s only a little bit of stampeding at times but just cause we’re passionate you know so it’s a great experience super fun super excited for the game,” said Conner.

And we know how passionate Auburn fans can get, the infamous “Coconut Bra Guy” in attendance of course showing his school spirit!
“This is my 4th year being ”Coconut Bra Guy” and I wore it just one game and people liked it enough so I kept wearing it.”
The Auburn Tigers defeated the Volunteers 53-51.
