COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The Mill District Inc. and community partners in Columbus will hold a Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway on Thursday, Nov 21.
According to Mill District CEO, Lauren Chambers, they plan to give out more than 200 turkeys to families in Columbus. They will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The giveaway will be at the The Food Mill Shared Kitchen Space located at 3720 5th Avenue Columbus, Georgia 31904 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Chambers said the event is open to residents living in the Mill District Community, comprised of Anderson Village, City Village, Bibb Village, and North Highland. According to her, there are no requirements to receive a turkey.
There will also be vendors, arts and crafts, music, and more. They will be giving away raffles for a bicycle and a grill, according to Sergeant Angela Florence with the Columbus Police Department.

Cure Violence, Columbus police, and Valley of Life Ministries are some organizations partnering with The Mill District Inc. to host this event.
