Are you registered to vote?

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Election Day is less than 50 days away! Whether you’re voting red or blue - it’s important to know if you’re registered to vote and where to go on election day to cast your ballot!

If you’re an ALABAMA resident, click HERE to check your status on voting. If you are active, the site will tell you what polling location you will need to visit to cast your vote from, as well as the districts you live in.

If you live in Alabama and you’re not registered yet, click HERE to fill out a form online or to print the mailable form!

To apply for an absentee ballot in Alabama, you must check one box below:

  • Out of the country or state on election day
  • Physically incapacitated [ID REQUIRED]
  • Physically incapacitated and cannot access polling place due to neurological, musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, etc. disorders AND
    • A: 65 years or older
    • B: Voter with a disability
  • Work a shift of at least 10 hours that coincide with polling hours
  • Student at an institution outside of polling county
  • Member, or spouse is a member, of Armed Forces of the United States
  • Appointed as an election officer at a polling place that is not your regular polling place
  • Caregiver for family member to the second degree of kinship by affinity or consanguinity and family member is confined to home
  • Currently incarcerated in prison or jail but not convicted of felony

The portal also has an option for an absentee ballot if you are currently not living in the county but are still registered there.
