COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Power has finally been restored to the WLTZ NBC 38 transmitter and television tower off Buena Vista Road in South Columbus, allowing our regularly scheduled programming to air on channel 38.
A power outage that took the station off the air occurred this morning, when three power poles were damaged near the station.
Crews from Georgia Power worked all morning to get the power restored in the area.
However, due to the specialized nature of the outage and the lines involved, repairing the lines ended up taking most of the day.
Now that power is fully restored to WLTZ, regular local and NBC network programming will return at the normally scheduled times.
