More Than 45M Moderna Doses Supplied In U.S.
MODERNA SAYS IT HAS DELIVERED MORE THAN 45 MILLION DOSES OF ITS VACCINE, BUT JUST OVER HALF HAVE BEEN ADMINISTERED
(CNN) – Pharmaceutical company Moderna says it has delivered 45.5 million doses of its COVID vaccine in the United States.
According to Moderna, data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows 25.5 million of them have been administered.
Moderna says it is finishing up more than 33 million doses, but some of them have suffered short-term delays.
Company officials blame a contractor for those problems and say the delays will not impact monthly delivery targets.
Moderna expects to deliver 100 million doses by the end of March, another 100 million by the end of May, and another 100 million by the end of July.
Each person requires two doses of the company’s vaccine to be considered inoculated.
