Swiss Chocolateir To Take Over Some Godiva Stores

SWISS CHOCOLATE RETAILER LADERACH AGREES TO TAKE OVER SOME OF THE STORES THAT GODIVA IS CLOSING IN THE U.S.

(CNN) – Godiva announced last month it was closing all of its 128 stores in North America.

Now, a Swiss chocolate retailer has announced it will take over some of the Godiva stores in the U.S.

LaDerach produces premium chocolate in Switzerland and currently has four stores in the North East.

The company has signed an asset purchase agreement to assume the leases for 34 Godiva locations.

The companies are not disclosing any other details about their agreement.

Godiva lovers will still be able to order online or through a retailer that stocks the chocolate in their stores.

Or, once the coronavirus is under control, you could get Godiva by traveling to Rurope the Middle East or China.
