SEC Announces Full Fall Football Schedule For Teams

COLLEGE FOOTBALL'S SEC CONFERENCE ANNOUNCES A FULL SLATE OF GAMES FOR THE FALL OF 2021

(CNN) – The Southeastern Conference is planning to play a full schedule of football games this fall.

The SEC, which has dominated college football in recent years, is planning a twelve game schedule for all of its teams.

Over the 13 week schedule set up by the conference, each team plays eight SEC opponents and four non-conference teams with one week off.

Last season, the SEC played a ten game conference-only schedule, being forced to cancel all non-conference games because of the pandemic.

The SEC was able to play 69 of its 71 scheduled games, with two being canceled entirely because of COVID-19.

Opening day is set for September 4th.
