TSA: More Guns Seized At Airports In 2020

TSA AGENTS CONFISCATED GUNS FROM AIRLINE PASSENGERS AT A RECORD RATE IN 2020

(CNN) – Despite the decrease in air travel due to the pandemic, TSA agents are confiscating guns from passengers at a record rate.

More than 3,200 guns were confiscated at U.S. airports last year and 83% of them were loaded.

Hartsfield-Jackson International in Atlanta had the most firearms discovered of any airport with 220 Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport came in second with 176.

The agency says it found about 10 firearms per million passengers screened last year, compared with about five firearms per million passengers screened in 2019.
