THE NFL WILL ALLOW 22K FANS ATTEND SUPER BOWL LV, INCLUDING 7.5K VACCINATED HEALTH CARE WORKERS

(CNN) – The National Football League is going to allow 22,000 fans attend the Super Bowl next month.

That includes 7,500 vaccinated health care workers who will get free tickets.

The NFL said health care workers will be recognized with planned tributes in the stadium and during the broadcast.

The NFL said it made the capacity decision after discussions with public health officials, including the CDC, the Florida Department of Health, and area hospitals and health care systems.

The NFL said its comprehensive plan will let the league host fans at the Super Bowl in a safe and responsible way during the pandemic.

Super Bowl 55 takes place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on Sunday, February 7th.
