NFL: 1st Female To Officiate At Super Bowl
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN NFL HISTORY, A WOMAN WILL OFFICIATE AT THE SUPER BOWL
(CNN) – This year’s Super Bowl will have a woman official for the first time in NFL history.
Sarah Thomas already made history when she became the league’s first female official back in 2015.
Now, Thomas has been chosen to be part of the eight person officiating crew at the big game February 7th in Tampa.
The league announced Tuesday, Thomas will be the down judge.
A league executive called it a well-deserved honor and said the crew selected is the “best of the best.”
