Online Holiday Purchases Grow By 32%
ONLINE SALES SURGED DURING THE 2020 HOLIDAY SEASON
(CNN) – It certainly was a happy holiday season for online retailers.
Adobe Analytics reports Americans spent a record $188.2 billion in cyber sales.
That’s a 32% hike from the previous year.
This is the first time there were more than $1 billion worth of online purchases daily from November through December.
Analysts say part of the boost in online sales came as a result of people not going to brick-and-mortar stores due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Among the popular items purchased this past holiday season; consumer electronics and home improvement.
