New York State Bar Inquiry To Removing Rudy Giuliani
INQUIRY BEGINS TO REMOVE GIULIANI FROM NY STATE BAR ASSOCIATION
(CNN) – President Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, is facing a prospect of being kicked out of New York’s State Bar Association
on Monday, the association opened an inquiry into removing Giuliani from its membership.
The reason is his role in firing up a mob of Trump supporters, before they stormed the U.S. Capitol last week.
Giuliani told them at a rally before the incident to have “trial by combat.”
If Giuliani is expelled from the group, he would not be disbarred, so he would still be able to represent Trump is future legal proceedings.
But the move would add to the criticism that Giuliani has been facing in the legal community over his defense of Trump.
Giuliani is a former New York mayor, who also served as a federal prosecutor.
