Corporate America Halts Donations To Congressional Members
CORPORATIONS REACT TO THE CAPITOL RIOT BY STOPPING DONATIONS TO REPUBLICANS WHO VOTED TO OVERTURN THE ELECTION
(CNN) – Some companies are splitting with Republicans over their objection to president-elect Joe Biden’s win.
American Express, Bluecross Blueshield, Commerce Bank, Dow and Marriott are among the list of corporations suspending donations to certain GOP Congress members.
147 republicans voted against the ceremonial counting of electoral college’s votes last week.
They included senators Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Roger Marshall and Tommy tuberville.
Other companies have opted to suspend donations to all politicians, regardless of how they voted.
