(CNN) – CVS says it’s on track to complete the first dose of coronavirus vaccinations in skilled nursing facilities by late January.
Vaccinations started in 36 states and Washington, D.C. last week.
CVS is now administering the vaccines in skilled nursing facilities in 49 states.
It expects to complete the first of two doses by January 25th.
CVS is also doing vaccinations in nearly 31,000 assisted-living facilities.
Walgreens has also partnered with the federal government to give shots at long-term care facilities across the United States.
Currently COVID-19 vaccines are not available at CVS pharmacy locations.
But the company says they will eventually be available at all of the stores throughout the U.S.
