Senator Perdue To Quarantine Ahead Of Senate Runoff
SENATOR PERDUE TO QUARANTINE AHEAD OF RUNOFF ELECTION
(CNN) – Republican Senator David Perdue is in quarantine; days before his Georgia run-off election that will determine control of the U.S. Senate.
His campaign announced Thursday, he’s been in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 and tested negative Thursday.
The couple is now following CDC guidelines and quarantining.
The senator and his wife have been tested regularly throughout the campaign.
Democrat Jon Ossoff is running against Perdue.
And, GOP Senator Kelly Loeffler faces the reverend Raphael Warnock in a separate runoff.
If Democrats win both races, they can use the vice president’s tie-breaking vote to control the chamber.
Election day for both races is Tuesday January 5th.
