New Physical Activity Guidelines Advised
THE WHO RECOMMENDS ADULTS GET AT LEAST 2.5 HOURS OF MODERATE TO VIGOROUS PHYSICAL ACTIVITY WEEKLY.
(CNN) – Staying active during the pandemic may be difficult, but the world health organization is encouraging everyone to try.
The WHO released new physical activity guidelines.
They recommend adults get at least 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise a week.
Workouts should include some strength training, especially for older adults to help prevent falls or related injuries.
For children up to 17 years old, the WHO recommends at least 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous exercise each day.
