Smithsonian Museums and National Zoo Close Due To COVID
SMITHSONIAN TEMPORARILY CLOSES MUSEUMS, NATIONAL ZOO AGAIN AS COVID CASES CLIMB
(CNN) – All Smithsonian Institution museums are closed starting Monday due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.
The organizations say it’s also closing the National Zoo.
The Smithsonian shuttered its locations in March, but reopened in September with limitations.
Now, the institution says it’s changing course to prioritize the health of staff and visitors.
The U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C., says it will also remain closed for the time being.
