Punxsutawney Phil To Go Virtual

(CNN) – The coronavirus has forced us to change the way we celebrate holidays and special occasions.

And now, there’s one more tradition getting added to that list Groundhog Day.

Don’t worry Punxsutawney Phil, the famous Pennsylvania groundhog will still make an appearance on this coming February.

However, there will not be any in person attendance or guests at Gobbler’s Knob on February 2nd.

The Punxsutawney Groundhog Club made the announcement this week.

They said in a release that they’re developing live virtual events and interactions in place of in person events.
