NASA Satellite To Measure Sea Level Rise
NASA IS SET TO LAUNCH INTO SPACE THE NEWEST SATELLITE TO MONITOR GLOBAL SEA LEVELS
(CNN) – NASA is launching a new satellite into space, that will monitor global sea levels.
Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich is designed to monitor earth’s oceans.
The joint U.S.-European mission is scheduled to launch from Vandenberg Air Force base in California on Saturday.
The satellite is also equipped with instruments that will provide atmospheric data to improve weather forecasts, climate models, and hurricane tracking.
A twin satellite is expected to be launched in space in 2025.
