Jon Stewart Returns With New Show For Apple TV+

JON STEWART WILL HOST A NEW SHOW ON APPLE TV STARTING NEXT YEAR

(CNN) – One of television’s most beloved political commentators is coming back.

Jon Stewart has inked a deal with Apple TV+.

He will host a new hour-long current affairs series on the streaming service next year.

The comedian hasn’t had his own show since he left “The Daily Show” five years ago.

It’s not known if Stewart’s new show will take on as strong a political bent as the Comedy Central series.

Apple says it will “explore topics that are currently part of the national conversation” as well as Stewart’s advocacy work.

A companion podcast will also be produced alongside the television show.
