Survey: Americans Divided On Bringing College Students To Campus

AMERICANS ARE DIVIDED ON WHETHER COLLEGES THAT BROUGHT STUDENTS BACK TO CAMPUS MADE THE RIGHT DECISION

(CNN) – For colleges that brought students back to campus, do you think that was the right call?

That was one of the questions on a recent survey by Pew Research Center and people were split.

With roughly half saying it was a good idea and the other half saying it was not a good idea.

And the divide was pretty much down party lines.

Republicans were more than twice as likely as Democrats to say bringing students back was the right decision.

Researchers wanted to know if the split was connected to people’s views on in-person learning versus online learning,
but they ended up finding out the majority of people from both parties agreed that the value of the education was not the same.

In the end, researchers say their results are a reflection of the divide on views of the virus on a much larger scale.
