Nation’s Most Courageous Canines Serve as Ambassadors of Hope During COVID-19 Crisis

On October 19th, the nation’s top 2020 American Hero Dog will be revealed on a nationally broadcast special of the 2020 American Humane Hero Dog Awards® on Hallmark Channel.

Now in their 10th year, the awards are being aired in conjunction with Hallmark Channel’s Adoption Ever campaign, which aims to empty shelters and end this country’s epidemic of pet homelessness and is more important than ever now during the COVID-19 crisis to counter abandonment and isolation.

The top 2020 American Hero Dog will be chosen from seven finalists who took top honors in their individual categories from an initial field of 408 nominees. Each will take part in the star-studded, nationally broadcast Hero Dog Awards.

Annually, the event garners more than one million votes and draws the support and participation of top celebrity dog lovers from all over the world.
