Researchers Link Sugar to Several Mental Disorders

New research suggests sugar may play a role in ADHD, bi-polar disorder and aggressive behaviors.
Scientists from the University of Colorado found fructose lowers energy in cells triggering a response similar to what occurs in starvation.
In this case, that survival response stimulates risk taking, impulsivity and aggressiveness.
The researchers say this does not mean sugar causes these behaviors but it may be one contributor.
