U.S. Signs Accord For Peaceful Space Exploration

SEVEN NATIONS AND THE U.S. SIGN THE ARTEMIS ACCORDS IN PROMISING PEACEFUL EXPLORATION OF DEEP SPACE

(CNN) – As the U.S. continues its exploration of deep space; it is committed to avoiding conflict up there.

Seven nations including the U.S. signed the Artemis Accords on Tuesday.

It’s a set of principles to guide space exploration and promote cooperation among nations working with NASA.

The countries who signed the agreement are Australia, Canada, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, the U.K. and theU.S.

The Artemis Accords reinforce and implement the 1967 agreement known as the outer space treaty.
