Northside Celebrates Coach Brandon Jenkins’ 200th Career Win

JENKINS CAREER RECORD (200-86-0) FROM 2013-2020 AS OF OCTOBER 15

The Northside Patriots had already punched their ticket to GHSA Class AAAAA fast-pitch softball playoffs, but tonight’s non-conference game against the Columbus Blue Devils was extra special. Northside’s bats got hot in the second inning. A (7-0) run gave the Patriots an edge, and NHS defeated Columbus 9-2. Head Coach Brandon Jenkins earned his 200th career win.

“It means a lot. Usually I’m not big on wins or individual awards,” said Jenkins. “To be able to get 200 just shy of 8 seasons, again that’s only a testament to not only the players, but all of the assistant coaches I’ve had over the years. They’ve been very supportive of not only the program, but of me. Made me a better coach.”

Northside starts their state playoff run with a road trip on Monday, October 19 against Woodward Academy. The Patriots finished the regular season with a record of (16-11).
