Goodwill SR Hosting Job Fair, Oct. 15, With More than 450 Jobs Available

In the spirit of celebrating and recognizing diversity in the workplace, Goodwill will be holding the Working Together Career and Community Resource Fair on October 15 at the Goodwill Community Campus in Columbus. The months of September and October put a spotlight on diversity and inclusion as Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15 – October 15, National Diversity Week is celebrated the first full week of October, and National Disability Employment Awareness Month is also recognized in October.

Over 450 jobs will be available from some of the region’s top employers. Employers in attendance include: U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Hardee’s; JOANN; Expert Cleaning Concepts, Inc.; GoodwillSR; The Family Center; Lowe’s; Staffing Connections; Integra Business Alternatives; Enrichment Services; Buffalo Rock; Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital; Goldens’ Foundry; Global Callcenter Solutions; Mando; Vet Center; First Credit Services.

In the best interest of the health and safety of our community the event will be held outdoors. The outdoor event will also feature door prizes and music along with a chance to meet with multiple top employers from across the region. Again, all attendees are asked to practice social distancing and masks are required to speak with employers.

Job seekers should come dressed for success and ready to interview with multiple copies of their resume in-hand. Individuals are also encouraged to visit their career centers and take advantage of Goodwill Sr’s free career readiness classes that include resume building, interview skills and many other skills workshops. To maximize social distancing and minimize wait times please call the Midtown Career Center at (706) 256-1837 to register ahead of the event.
