Summer Temperatures Back Today

Above normal temperatures will continue today as highs will approach 90 degrees in some locations today. Dew point temperatures will stick around in the middle 60s  today, making it feel more like “early summer”.  All eyes will continue to watch the track of Hurricane Delta as it moves from the southwestern Gulf of Mexico to to the northern Gulf Coast. Landfall is expected to occur tomorrow afternoon into the evening hours along western coastline of Louisiana. Unfortunately, this is almost the same location were powerful hurricane Laura made landfall about a month ago. That track should keep the heavy rain, and the worst weather effects away from our area. Only a couple showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected in our area.  Stay Tuned To WLTZ First Weather for the latest updates.
