A Very Warm Thursday

Whew! It got a tad bit warm today with highs pushing into the mid to upper 80s and we’ll do it again on Thursday which also looks to stay rain-free.

Turning our attention to the Gulf, Hurricane Delta has weakened to a category 1, but is expected to re-strengthen while churning away in the warm waters of the Gulf. It’s projected to make landfall along the Louisiana coast on Friday before turning northeast.

The projected path has shifted to more northwest of our area, so threat for severe weather will be geared more toward the central to western part of Alabama and northwest Georgia, but we cannot let our guard down just yet. There still remains the possibility for at least a few strong storms to hit our area on Saturday. We’ll keep you updated.

Keep smiling,
