Warming Up, Rain Coming from Hurricane Delta
A few spots saw some rain today, but most of the area didn’t see a drop. The area will stay dry on Wednesday under partly cloudy skies with more sunshine breaking through in the afternoon.
On Thursday, rain starts to move back in ahead of Hurricane Delta. A thunderstorm could pop up as well. Best chance for rain will be Friday and Saturday and perhaps even Sunday. A few storms could produce periods of heavy rainfall and winds gusting up to 40 mph mainly to the west/northwest of Muscogee County. Still a little too early to tell what areas could see some (if any) tornado activity, so that’s something we’ll have to monitor closely.
Daytime highs through Friday will range from the low to mid 80s with nighttime lows in the low to upper 60s.
