Study: Female Doctors Work Harder For Less Money

STUDY FINDS FEMALE DOCTORS WORK HARDER FOR LESS MONEY

(CNN) – The difference between male and female doctors is similar to the difference between males and females.

According to a study in the New England Journal of Medicine, female doctors are paid less than male doctors.

They make about 87-cents to the dollar compared to their male counterparts.

But that’s not the only thing.

Researchers say female doctors spend more time with their patients, order more tests, and spend less time with friendly chit-chat.
