Undefeated Auburn High Tigers and Central Red Devils Square off on Friday Night

AUBURN HIGH AND CENTRAL GEAR UP FOR CONSEQUENTIAL REGION GAME

The undefeated Auburn High Tigers will travel to Phenix-City to take on the Central Red Devils on Friday night

The Red Devils have won this game six straight times.

Central got off to a rocky start this season, losing to Hoover and Eufuala in their first two games. Last week they narrowly beat Opelika 21-19.

Meanwhile, the Auburn tigers have been taking care of business. In their five games played, they’ve scored over 40 points three times, while having two shut outs so far this season.

They’re winning their games by an average of about 29 points.

Adding more to this matchup is the fact that both teams remain undefeated in the region.

“Every game is a building process for us. We understand that there are big games in our region, this game for the the past several years has been one, so we’re excited about the challenge,” said Auburn High head coach, Adam Winegarden.

“It’s obviously a big game. It doesn’t matter who it is, it’s a big game region wise. Both of us are undefeated basically playing for number one in the region,” said Central head coach, Patrick Nix.

Kickoff is set for 8pm Eastern at Garrett-Harrison Stadium.
