Rainy Tuesday, Beautiful Weather Coming
A strong cold front could trigger a few isolated severe storms this evening (especially in Lee, Chambers and Troup) with damaging winds of 40-60 mph the main threat. Rain showers will be possible overnight into the morning as well. Wouldn’t be surprised to see some fog or at least misty conditions. We’ll wake up in the 50s and 60s.
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are on tap for Tuesday on the back end of the cold front. Temperatures could be 20° cooler than today with a good portion of the area not getting out of the 60s for highs. It will be windy at times with gusts up to 20+ mph.
A calm, dry stretch kicks off on Wednesday. Sunshine will dominate the days and starry skies will dominate the nights through the early part of next week. A second cold front moves through by Friday and brings even drier air into the region. Humidity levels will plummet as dew points dip into the 30s and 40s. Very nice!
It will be quite chilly several nights this week with lows sliding down into the upper 40s and possibly lower. Brrrr!
