Marginal Risk Of Severe Weather Today
Expect a couple rounds of showers and thunderstorms to move through our area, this afternoon into the evening hours. The remnants of Tropical Storm Beta will continue to move through the southeast bringing with it a chance of stronger thunderstorms late in the afternoon and evening hours. Most of our area is under a marginal risk for severe weather, with damaging winds and an isolated brief tornado possible. The parameters for severe weather aren’t great but we should have just enough wind shear and instability to warrant a marginal severe weather threat. Showers and thunderstorms will start to exit our area Friday morning. As far as temperatures go expect a warm weekend ahead with highs in the low to middle 80s, with Saturday being mostly sunny. Of course, WLTZ First Weather will keep you updated with any watches or warning for our area!!
