Muscogee County Schools Physically Closed Thursday Due to Inclement Weather

Virtual Instruction Will Proceed As Normal

Columbus, GA As a safety precaution, The Muscogee County School District will be physically closed September 17, 2020, based upon the recent weather advisories predicting inclement weather and potential damage associated with Hurricane Sally.

The District will proceed with virtual instruction for all students. Parents should prepare each student to report online for instruction at his/her regularly scheduled time. If any households experience circumstances that cause student absence due to the weather patterns (e.g. power outages, flooding, etc.), we encourage parents to notify each student’s school administrators and teachers.

All athletic and after-school activities remain cancelled through September 17, 2020.

In-person instruction, per the choice model, will resume during the regular schedule, September 18, 2020.
