Former Nissan Executive Pleads Not Guilty
FORMER NISSAN EXECUTIVE GREG KELLY PLEADS NOT GUILTY ON BEHALF OF THE COMPANY
(CNN) – Former Nissan executive Greg Kelly pleaded not guilty as his trial opened in Tokyo on Tuesday.
Kelly is being accused of helping Carlos Ghosn under-report his income at the company.
He denied the allegations and said he was not involved in criminal conspiracy.
Ghosn fled Japan in December last year and went to Lebanon.
He told CNN Business in January that he decided to flee the country after determining he wouldn’t receive a fair trial.
