Facebook Buying Unused Headquarters From REI Retailer

FACEBOOK BUYS UNUSED COMPLEX FROM OUTDOOR RETAILER REI

(CNN) – Facebook is buying a new corporate campus, despite its plan to allow more employees to work from home.

The social media giant is buying the corporate headquarters of outdoor retailer, REI.

I planned to move into the Washington State location this summer, so the 400,000 square foot complex has not been used.

Facebook is paying more than $367-million for the buildings and most of the land.

The new acquisition comes after the company announced it was extending its work at home policy until July of next year.

Still Facebook has been adding staff throughout the year and is adding office space along with them.
