Mostly Dry Today But Heavy Rain Is On The Way

Expect one more mainly rain-free day across the area today. The best chance of rain and isolated thunderstorms will mainly stay to our south with the best chances in the evening hours, as Sally outer bands could affect us. Humid conditions will prevail with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s, heat index values will top out in the upper 90s. Soon to be hurricane Sally should make landfall tomorrow morning around the Louisiana/Mississippi border. Afterwards, Sally will move to the northeast and increase our rain chances. It’s too early to pinpoint flash flood issues and where isolated tornadoes might form. Stay tuned to WLTZ Weather for the latest Updates On Sally!
