'TIGER KING' STAR JOE EXOTIC FORMALLY REQUESTS PARDON
(CNN) – Tiger King star Joe Exotic has formally asked president Trump for a pardon.
Joseph Maldonado-Passage and his legal team have reportedly sent the White House administration more than 250 pages pleading his case.
The former zookeeper rose to fame as the subject of the hit Netflix docu-series.
He is serving a 22 year prison sentence for his role in a murder-for-hire plot against his longtime rival, Big Cat Rescue CEO Carole Baskin.
He’s also in prison for violating federal wildlife laws.
So far, no comment from president Trump or the White House on the pardon request.
