A Rainy Weekend
Deep tropical moisture will remain in place as we start the weekend. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely Saturday/Sunday afternoon/evening. Tropical Depression 19 will move westward into the Gulf by Sunday and is likely to develop into a tropical storm. This will help reinforce the ample moisture sitting across the region and increase chances for rain late Sunday into early next week.
By Tuesday, a strong surface high in New England could slide cooler/drier air down along the eastern Appalachians and lessen our chance for rain on Wednesday as daytime highs cool to the upper 70s to low 80s with nighttime lows in the mid to upper 60s.
Daytime highs and nighttime lows will hover near or slightly above normal through the weekend.
