Home Depot Works To Reinvent Black Friday

HOME DEPOT PLANS TO OFFER BLACK FRIDAY DEALS OVER THE COURSE OF TWO MONTHS

(CNN) – Expect Black Friday to be a more subdued affair in the world of COVID holiday shopping.

Home Depot is officially axing the idea.

Instead of door-busters; the home improvement warehouse will offer Black Friday inspired deals over a two month period; starting in early November.

Fewer people are likely to want to cram into stores this year, but the truth is, Black Friday has been dying a slow death for years.

More retailers started offering deals earlier on Thanksgiving Day and many shoppers have flocked to online sites to avoid the crowds.

Home Depot says it will offer holiday deals in-store and online. With an edge going to shoppers who use its mobile app, which will offer exclusive early access to some special prices.
