Hong Kong To Relax Social Distancing Measures
HONG KONG WILL EXTEND GATHERING RESTRICTIONS TO 4 PEOPLE, AND IS DISCUSSING A POSSIBLE TRAVEL BUBBLE WITH 11 COUNTRIES
(CNN) – Hong Kong is expected to relax some of its social distancing measures Friday and is in talks with several countries about a “travel bubble.”
This is the third of its four part phase to re-open.
Hong Kong will allow groups of four people to dine at restaurants or mingle at other entertainment venues.
Right now only two can gather publicly.
Hong Kong is also discussing a potential “travel bubble” with 11 countries. people traveling within the bubble would agree to being tested for COVID-19 on both ends of the journey.
So far, Hong Kong’s “travel bubble” shortlist includes: Japan, Thailand, South Korea and Australia.
Since the start of the pandemic, Hong Kong has reported around 4,900 coronavirus cases.
98 have died as a result of the virus.
