NFL To Feature Social Justice Statements In End Zone
THE NFL WILL FEATURE SOCIAL JUSTICE STATEMENTS STENCILED IN EACH TEAM'S END ZONE DURING GAMES. THEY WILL INCLUDE "IT TAKES ALL OF US" AND "END RACISM."
(CNN) – The NFL will feature social justice statements in the end zones this season.
Commissioner Roger Goodell says the phrases will include “It Takes All of Us” and “End Racism.”
They’ll be stenciled in paint in each team’s end zones all season.
It’s one in a series of social justice initiatives the league has planned, including helmet decals and a voter activation push.
The league launched a voting initiative in July called NFL Votes.
Voter education programs have been conducted with players on all 32 teams.
Goodell says the league encouraged teams to offer their stadiums as polling centers.
And all league facilities will be closed on election day so players and staff can vote.
