A Hot and Humid Week

The word this week- WHEW!

Moisture continues to pump in from the Gulf keeping humidity levels quite uncomfortable to unbearable for at least one more day. Expect scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon into the early evening, but no widespread strong to severe storms are anticipated. It will also be quite hot with highs in the low 90s and heat indices in the low 100s. Guh!

Some drier air will filter in and bring dew points down a bit, so rain chances will be limited Wednesday through Saturday. Make no mistake, it will still be quite sticky. With high pressure helping push daytime temperatures up to the mid 90s (and slightly higher), the afternoon heat will be dangerous through the early part of the weekend. Heat advisories could be issued. If you do go outdoors, be sure to stay hydrated and don’t forget the sunscreen.

Keep smiling!
