NBC Universal Plans Company-Wide Layoffs
NBC UNIVERSAL PLANS COMPANY-WIDE LAYOFFS OF LESS THAN 10% OF 35,000-PERSON STAFF
(CNN) – NBC Universal will make company wide layoffs after the coronavirus has crippled the U.S. economy for months.
There is no official word on how many people will lose their jobs.
The cuts are expected to extend across all divisions of NBC Universal including its broadcast networks, movie studio and theme parks.
The company has 35,000 full time staffers.
NBC Universal which is owned by Comcast has reportedly already started laying off staffers who work for NBC sports sites.
NBC Universal’s CEO says the company is undergoing a restructuring plan.
